How does royal oppression help in a six samurai deck?

I've noticed that most Six samurai decks run a royal oppression and I am wondering how this will help the player. After all royal oppression kills special summoning and won't your opponent shut down your special summoning especially since six sams do that alot too. Can anyone explain? thanks
