I have a huge problem about what others will think of me. Help?

I ran for student year council thing in our school and i lost. Its not really a problem. But here's another one. Ok so, yesterday some seniors told me they want me to be in their party (this is another election), i really didnt wanna run. but idk why i agreed, maybe because they seemed to be really desperate for someone on that position. I know im gonna lose this thing because my other opponent's way more popular. And for the 2nd time, losing is never the problem. Problem is, im quite worried that people might think of me as desperate. That i just want to get noticed, thats why i run for stuff like that. They probably wont vote for me because they think im too loud, and i dont take anything seriously.
