Why does my dog pee on his bedding?

given his age-just getting sexually mature, and the fact that it is the couch too...i really think he is marking-a show of dominance. he's trying to tell you "this is mine, this is mine" and so on. try not letting him up on the furniture and pretend eating his food before he gets it. taking him on walks where he has to stay beside you not in front...all that Ceasar Millan stuff. I also think it's that he can smell where he's peed--you have to make sure when he pees on stuff he's not supposed to-to really clean and get the urea out by using either a commercial urine remover or waht i like to use is plain white vinegar and a little water mixed in a spray bottle. spray it where ever he pees. i think that's why he is peeing in his kennel and on blankets-he smells the pee so he does it again...wash the blankets in vinegar in your washer. vinegar smells at first but when it dries you can't smell it at all..also give him a bath if he can smell it on his legs or feet he'll pee where ever...be really consistant! good luck and don't give up!
