Will my dog wag his tail again?

My doggie (Great Pyrenees/Collie) broke his tail :( Took him to the vet and got him checked out and they gave him some medication and did some tests, so he's all taken care of in that department. I was just wondering if he would be able to wag his tail again? He has regained some movement in his tail and it has only been a couple of days so I'm hopeful. Anybody have any experience in this area?
